Dyeing Assembled Slings

It is not recommended to dye a ready assembled sling with procion dye together with soda ash,as it will tarnish the rings.Soda ash reacts with aluminium.

Dylon dye is okay to use.It will leave a stain initially that will eventually  wear off.However it is much preferred to dye the fabric first wherever possible.Below is an example - the rings are not attached but were put in a sock alongside some fabric and dyed with Dylon dye.
